Introduction: March 13, 2018
River was recently found roaming Riverside Drive in Nashville by some folks. These kind strangers reached out to Agape Animal Rescue for help. Agape immediately brought him into their rescue program and are dedicated to getting him back on his feet. He will be taken to the vet this week and assessed further, but for now it appears that he has Sarcoptic Mange, which a highly contagious skin disease found in dogs, caused by the Sarcoptes Scabiei mite. These mites will burrow through the skin causing intense itching and irritation. The scratching that results from mange is what causes the majority of the animal's hair to fall out. Fish4Dogs is committed to helping River recover by providing a nutritious food and treats to help him get healthy. Stay tuned for updates on River’s road to recovery.
