Hannah came to Wet Nose Rescue 8 years ago at the age of 6. She was adopted out to a single middle aged man who adored her. We heard from him now and then always referring to Hannah as his dear sweet girl and that she was a happy, healthy girl.
A year ago I received a call from David, Hannah's Dad saying he had fallen on very desperate times and was going to lose his home and was most concerned with Hannah as he did not feel that he could continue caring for her. Wet Nose had started a new program called the Gray Nose Society, specifically for senior dogs and Hannah would be eligible for the program, We took possession of Hannah 1 year ago. When Hannah arrived we found she had a severely ulcerated ear, so was taken immediately to the vet, while undergoing surgery for the removal of about 1/3 of her ear, it was determined she also had a malignant tumor in her chest. Hannah will be a Forever Foster with a Senior Family for the remainder of her life. Wet Nose will take care of any veterinary care she will need in the future. With Hannah being sponsored by Fish4Dogs she will have a healthy diet that she is truly enjoying.
